About Me

In 1997 I completed a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. After being laid off from a Secretarial position with a large tech company I began an administrative position for Weber County Human Services. It was at this time that I decided to pursue a career as a Social worker. I returned to academia and received a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Weber State University in 1999 and then a Master's Degree in Social work from the University of Utah in 2001. While pursuing my Masters Degree I worked part-time for YCC Crisis Center whose focus was helping women in crisis situations. I then returned to working for Weber County, but this time as a therapist. I spent 3 1/2 years with the County and then moved on to working as a Therapist for Clinical Consultants for 2 years and Axis One for 7 years. At this point, an opportunity became available for myself and three other Therapists to purchase Axis One to which we renamed A1 Alliance Counseling Services. I had a great experience being not only a Therapist but also co-owner of a business for 10 years. At this stage in my 15+ years as a Therapist I've decided to start my own practice and see clients using Teletherapy in order to continue providing my knowledge and experience to established patients as well as future ones.
